It’s with great excitement that we announce Xavier Jarvis as our new Organ Scholar here at St Mary’s Cathedral !! Xavier was presented with his Scholarship on Sunday 20th September during the 11am Mass.

Xavier says: Taking on this scholarship and studying it in conjunction with piano at the University of Western Australia has been such a huge honour. Although I have been involved with the Cathedral’s music programme as a timpanist in the past, I never thought that I would, one day, be learning one of the world’s biggest (and oldest!) instruments surrounded by such fine musicians. Working with and learning from them is such a privilege, and I can’t be thankful enough!

We congratulate Xavier and look forward to his development as our new Organ Scholar with great excitement !!

We Are St Mary’s
