Christmas Masses at the Cathedral are normally full to overflowing.

This year, due to covid-19 restrictions, if you wish to participate in Mass or attend the Lessons and Carols, you will need to register and receive your free ticket. Entry will only be permitted to those with a ticket and numbers are restricted.

After every Mass and after the Lessons and Carols, the Cathedral will be emptied. So if you are coming to the 9pm Mass, you will have to leave and re-enter if you have a ticket for the Lessons and Carols. If you are attending the Lessons and Carols, you will have to leave and re-enter for the Midnight Mass.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We do appreciate how special Christmas in the Cathedral is for so many people, but we have to do our bit to help keep everyone in the community safe.

A registration link will be available on 8 December.

We Are St Mary’s

St Mary’s Cathedral stands as a place of faith, history, and community in the heart of Perth. More than just a landmark, it is a sacred space where generations have gathered to worship, celebrate, and find solace.
Rooted in tradition and open to all, we welcome everyone to experience the beauty of our liturgy, the warmth of our community, and the call to serve. Whether you come to pray, connect, or contribute, you are part of the living story of St Mary’s.
