The Cathedral will be closed from 24 April to 26 April as required by state government regulation. There will be no Masses or baptisms at the Cathedral over this period.

At the start of the covid-19 pandemic, the Archbishop dispensed Catholics from the Sunday and holyday obligation. This dispensation remains in effect.

  • The following weddings will proceed
    • Saturday 11am – Claudio Molina and Paula Nguyen
    • Saturday 3pm – Michelle Miola  and Adam James Malkos
  • Please note that masks will have to be worn at the weddings and numbers will be limited to 100.

We Are St Mary’s

St Mary’s Cathedral stands as a place of faith, history, and community in the heart of Perth. More than just a landmark, it is a sacred space where generations have gathered to worship, celebrate, and find solace.
Rooted in tradition and open to all, we welcome everyone to experience the beauty of our liturgy, the warmth of our community, and the call to serve. Whether you come to pray, connect, or contribute, you are part of the living story of St Mary’s.
